Up Against
To place an object, space, or time immediately adjacent to another where the understanding or definition of one may be transferred to the other. The relationship of these creates a whole that may broken into disparate parts.
Underneath
To stand or occur below something else. That above may not be aware of that below, however that above is apparent. The entity beneath, in this relationship, can act freely or affect the elements above.
Throughout
To exist consistently across time or space with a constant density or period of occurrence. The whole can be described by these elements, and the consistency creates an index or rhythm to play against.
Than
To relate two or more entities by comparing the similarities of these, but by doing this the differences are highlighted. The relationship of these does create an understanding of a group, but it is an aggregation of disparate parts, rather than homogenous.
Save
To remove one or more elements from an abstract grouping. The separation of this or these provides a new condition and definition of those removed, as well as those that remain in the initial group.
Re
To describe or relate one thing or time to another, where the item compared may not have relation to the element described or related. However, the element regarding the other is described by the other.
Prior To
To exist or occur before something else. This can be a time or an experience in space. Both or all do not have to have a similarity other than the temporal or spatial relationship and grouping.
Pending
To act or occur on the condition of some other action or state. The effect is defined by the incident, however the initial action or state does not necessarily have a relationship with the following conditions.
Opposite To
To stand or space across from along some axis that is a position, focal point, or mirror line. The relationship of the two elements creates a third element between that is described by the confrontation of the initial two elements.
