To define an element through the perspective of or by another. The two or more entities create relationships with one another through opposition, comparison, and contrast.

To pose relative to another viewpoint, object, or time. The relationship of the entities comes from the conditional circumstance of the two or more. What comes first defines what is next.

To be enclosed by spatial or temporal elements. This may or may not have or create a relationship between or among the related elements, however the condition easily defines another, at least in position.

To be after another in time, space, or belief with or without a relationship between or among the entities. This condition is relative to a horological, physical, or mental position.

To exclude one or some from a group or selection. This condition can be positive or negative and helps define those within and without through contrast.

To stand separate from another without any help or interaction between the entities. These contrast with one another to create a relationship of opposition or inconsequence.
