To be outside a set or selection. This can be either positive or negative for the object or person outside. However, this state helps define the entity and the other group.
Near
To be close to something or someone physically, mentally, or philosophically. The concrete or abstract proximity of two objects or people creates likeness and comparison, which helps to define both.
In Spite Of
To exist without or against the support or acknowledgement of another entity. This condition makes the subject opposed or outside the influence of someone or something.
Under
Move beneath or below an object or space to support, subvert, or subject. This relationship may suggest being controlled, but it may just be that it is in control.
Onto
To arrive upon an object for some advantage. Surmounting this, the environment or opportunity changes, providing a new vantage.
Past
To move through and beyond a space or time, affecting the one progressing forward but the space or time behind remains effectively unaltered.
Without
The knowledge that something or someone is unable to be present with some other. This defines the state of being, where the description is what is not, not what is.
